    Asarum canadense – Wild Ginger! A spring plant to search for in rich bottomlands and great for early pollinators.

    Cat’s Foot, Colic Root, Coltsfoot, Heart-Leaf, Indian Ginger, Snakeroot are some common names.. I grows near where I live~ no other experiences with it yet

    Yes, this is Wild ginger (Asarum canadense). The heart-shaped leaf with its deep indentation is one identifying characteristic. The other prominent identifier is the low-growing small flower which can be seen by pulling the leaves gently to the side.
