Yes, this is Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea). It’s such a popular plant that many varieties have been developed and enjoyed by gardeners.
We had them in one of our pastures on our ranch in southern Iowa about 40 years ago. It wasn’t until many years later that I learned how healthful they are.
